2nd-3rd Century A.D
Circular gold shield, hoop of gold band rounded in upper section opening out to lower section of four bands of gold each twisted on its axis, tapering once again into single band running up underside of shield to form integral loop through which closed end of hoop is hooped to secure within the ear. Two tier drop of four gold spheres ornamented with rigid granular clusters and drops, attached to hoop via connecting circular box like section of gold. Ovolo also along base of shield.
