An original leaf from a medieval manuscript Book of Hours. 23 lines of text ruled in red, written in Latin, in angular letter-batarde script, on animal vellum. Initial letter S and line endings in red and blue, with liquid gold infill. Elaborate panel borders in acanthus and floral motifs, highlighted by the use of liquid gold. France: Rouen; Use of Rouen, circa 1490.
