Georgian Mahogany Bureau / Writing Desk ca 1760
This beautiful antique Georgian mahogany bureau / writing desk has a moulded fall front with a brass key escutcheon. The interior has a black faux leather writing insert and the fitted interior is stepped with several pigeon holes, letter racks, drawers and a central cupboard. The lower section has four oak lined cock beaded drawers with replacement brass handles and key escutcheons. The piece stands on beautiful shaped bracket feet, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
